The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatta has averred that it is the BJP which will take a decision on the demands for domicile and land law as per public sentiments. Bhatt said this while addressing a meeting of the party’s office bearers in the presence of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday.
During the meeting which was held in view of the coming Lok Sabha elections, Bhatt told the party workers that the victory of the party in these elections should be such that the opposition is unable to stand up for years to come. He said, “Our government created this State, developed it and when it comes to issues like domicile and land laws, it is the BJP which will take a decision in the interests of the public.”
Addressing the gathering, Dhami said, “We are fortunate as after centuries we will see Lord Ram being installed in his birthplace. We are witnessing the advent of Ram Rajya under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” Referring to the issues of domicile and land law, the CM said that it is the BJP which has resolved all such issues in the interests of the State and its people. The BJP has acted and will continue to act in the interests of the people, he said.
Earlier, Bhatt said that the party’s victory in the coming Lok Sabha elections is guaranteed. “However, the challenge for us is to achieve such a victory which disables the opposition from rising up for many years. The election this time will be based fully on the party cells so the office bearers and workers of the cells will have to ensure that the party’s programmes reach the bottom. Every cell of the party will have to work diligently from January 5 till the elections to achieve the target,” Bhatt said.
Talking to media persons, Bhatt opined that the opposition lacks the courage to face the public. This is the reason for the opposition relying on spreading disinformation on issues related to public interest in its attempt to hamper development. He said that the BJP workers have to thwart this conspiracy because the BJP government created Uttarakhand and ensured development in the State.
Addressing party workers, Dhami said that Lord Ram will installed in his birthplace after a wait of 550 years. He said that I Uttarakhand, the opposition lacks issues and is working on its policy of spreading rumours. “The opposition lacks the moral courage to approach the public so it is spreading lies. We have to go to the people and present the track record of the BJP governments. The BJP government will soon bring the Uniform Civil Code along with decisions on the domicile issue and land law for Uttarakhand,” the CM said.
