BJP will win hands down in Bageshwar by-poll: CM

In latest Uttarakhand news, after hectic campaigning for the BJP candidate Parvati Dass in Bageshwar by-poll, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami accompanied by the State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt reached Gwaldam. While talking to the media persons, the CM exuded confidence that his party’s candidate would win the by-election hands down. Invoking Lord Shiva, he said that Bageshwar being home of the Lord, Parvati was all set to win the by-election with a landslide margin. He reiterated his government’s commitment to carry forward the developmental legacy and vision of the departed minister Chandan Ram Dass. He mentioned that they had already announced the setting up of a 200-bed hospital in Bageshwar. After meeting the party rank and file, he left for Dehradun.
Notably, 1, 18, 225 voters are expected to exercise their franchise in the by-election and five candidates are in the fray. While the polling is slated on September 5 the counting of votes would be held on September 8.
