In latest Uttarakhand news, a minor dispute erupted into a brawl involving boat operators and tourists in Nainital Lake. A video circulated on the social media shows the boat operators manhandling and thrashing the family of the tourists, including a woman. As the fight was going on, some tourists were seen falling in the lake. It is learnt that the incident started in the form of a minor dispute at the boat stand near Mallital-based Boat House Club. On being informed, police arrived. Both the groups of the tourists and the boat operators demanded the police to act, hurling abuses on one another. Coming close of the heels of some Kedarnath pilgrims being allegedly beaten by horse/mule operators, this incident the video of which has gone viral stands contrary to the spirit of hospitality the people of Uttarakhand are known for.
