Ahead of the International Mother Language Day observed on February 21, the Bank of Baroda began a three-day SMS log-in day to publicise options for its customers to receive information about their accounts in their preferred language. According to the bank, using this facility the customers can receive SMS in their preferred language including Hindi, Tamil, Kannad, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu and Urdu. The bank is holding SMS log-in day on February 18, 19 and 21 to maximise the number of its customers connected to this facility. The Bank of Baroda presently provides its customers information about transactions via SMS in English and 12 Indian languages.
