Body of man missing since October 29 recovered

The body of a man who had gone missing on October 29 was recovered by the authorities on Saturday. According to information received from sources, on December 13, the Patti Talla Kanda revenue sub inspector had received a complaint from Shoeb Alam about his brother Tabrez Alam missing. The complainant stated in the report that his brother had been missing since October 29 from Kachilakot village.
The complainant had further informed in the complaint that his brother and Santu Baitha- both from Champaran in Bihar used to work with woolen mattresses in Kachilakot. His brother had been missing since October 29 and his mobile phone had also remained switched off. After lodging the missing person report, the revenue sub inspector conducted investigation, search and also questioned people at the local level. On Saturday, the official also questioned Kachilakot residents Yashoda Devi and her husband Mahesh Singh.
The two reportedly said that Santu Baitha had murdered Tabrez. They said that with another person, they had buried the body on the directions of Baitha who had also helped in burying the body near the village. On the basis of information provided by Yashoda Devi and Mahesh Singh, the authorities recovered the body after digging the ground in the presence of the brother of the deceased man. The authorities have initiated action for conducting post mortem of the body along with registering cases against all the accused in the case for murder and concealing evidence.
