The liquor shops and bars will remain fully and partially closed for four days before 26 January as per the order issued by the district magistrate Savin Bansal. The boozing establishments will be fully closed on January 22 and 23 due to the Urban Local Body elections and again on January 25 on account of the counting of the votes. Moreover, they will be closed on January 26-the Republic Day. However, they will open after the voting at 5 PM on January 23 and will remain open on January 24. The order also stated that no compensation would be paid to the license holders of liquor establishments for this closure.
