The former BJP leader and the president of Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Limited (NDUSSL) Mukesh Bora, who remains lodged in Haldwani jail charged under POCSO Act, has been allowed by the POCSO court to chair the NDUSSL board meeting inside the jail on February 5.
The court granted the plea after Bora’s lawyer told it that holding of a board meeting once in six months was an imperative. The court sought police suggestions on taking Bora out for the meeting. Later, taking into consideration the security concern involved, the special judge of the court allowed Bora to hold the meeting inside the jail premises. As per NDUSSL sources, the meeting will be held from 10.30 AM to 5 PM on February 5.
