In latest Uttarakhand news, with relentless rain still battering Uttarakhand, the key bridge over Malan river that connects Kotdwar with Laldhang was washed out. Notably, this bridge is located in the Assembly constituency of the Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan. Earlier, a pillar of the railway bridge spanning over Sukhro river caved in in the wake of torrential shower. Danger is looming over this bridge too as heavy downpour continues.
