In latest Uttarakhand news, the people living in the remote villages in Niti valley in Chamoli district near the China border are relieved as the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has finally built the alternative route after the only motor bridge in the district was swept away in the wake of flash flood near Jumma Nala on Malari highway. But for the time being, vehicle movement on this route is not being allowed. The BRO officials said that some works like laying down hume pipes on this newly built route are yet to be completed. Notably, after this solitary motor bridge was washed out, the villagers living in over dozen villages located near the Indo-China border were completely cut off from the rest of the district. It is also learnt that along with the villagers, the army personnel are also using this route. BRO officials further informed that the route would be ready for vehicular movement in no time as the work is going on in full swing.
