BSB inks MoUs for vocational education from class 9

Bharatiya Shiksha Board has taken an initiative to link school education with skill development and employment. In the presence of the Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, three MoUs were signed at the board headquarters in Noida with Skill Councils in the tourism and hospitality, handicrafts and carpet and green energy sectors on Saturday.

Under these agreements, students from grades 9 to 12 will receive practical and employment-oriented training in accordance with the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Skills Qualification Framework.

Along with traditional skills, students will also be trained in modern fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics and web designing.

Baba Ramdev said that it is important to equip youth with skills that can create employment opportunities and self-employment opportunities.

The executive chairman of the board, N P Singh stated that students would receive training from local artisans and a 15-day internship at Patanjali Industries.
