BSP MLA Mohommad Shahzad added fuel to the fire to the debate of mountains versus plains by stating that the plain areas of the State are being neglected by the government and in the budget.
Interacting with the mediapersons in Vidhan Sabha on Saturday, the MLA said that Pauri district receives more budget in district plan than Haridwar even as the population of Haridwar is more than that of Pauri. BJP MLA Khajan Dass expressed his anguish on the attempt to divide the people of the State on regional lines.
He said that the people of the State are angry at the use of unparliamentary language inside the house. The member said that anyone, whether he is a MLA or minister, should respect the sentiments of the people and maintain the sanctity of the house.
