Budget shows strong determination for development: Bhagat
The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that the budget presented by Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman displays the strong determination of the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development.
Appreciating the union budget, Bhagat said that it focuses on employment along with the farmers and villages. Provision made for steps like opening 15,000 Adarsh Vidyalaya, Rs 50,000 crore allocation for national research foundation, opening of 100 Sainik schools, establishment of Eklavya Vidyalaya and opening a central university in Leh will prepare the nation’s education system for the future. Bhagat said that the Rs 50,000 crore allocation proposed for the national research foundation is a welcome step as knowledge and research are vital for developing and maintaining a big and lively economy.
In addition to 137 per cent rise in healthcare allocation, provisions have also been made for expansion of rail network, highways and basic infrastructure in other sectors too. Provisions made for doubling the income of farmers, raising the allocation for infrastructure development fund, digitalisation of 1,000 more Mandis and opening of 100 new Sainik schools will definitely bring about a revolutionary change, added the BJP State president.
