Various meetings held in BJP state office on Thursday

The Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh exhorted the social media volunteers of the party to build a positive atmosphere in society through social media so as to also thwart the plans of the political parties spreading confusion. He was addressing the party’s social media volunteers at the party state office here on Thursday.

Santhosh said, “The aspects of ecological system like the population of tigers and dolphins are improving due to the good decisions of the government. The Uttarakhand government has been consistently doing good work for honey production which is also boosting self employment. Through the medium of social media, today every aware person is playing various roles from that of a journalist to that of an artist,” he opined.

Stressing on the importance of language, he said that the language of inconvenience should be avoided. He also exhorted the social media volunteers to listen to the thoughts of the nation’s good intellectuals and also try to follow the same. Every social media volunteer should also evaluate his or her behaviour from time to time, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state tour of Santhosh is strengthening the party organisation in Uttarakhand. He said that the task of the office bearers of the party’s cells is to consistently connect beneficiaries to the welfare schemes of the government. He said, “The government has started the procedure to fill vacant posts in the departments while the honorarium of guest teachers has been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. Taking cognisance of issues in the police department, a sub-committee has been formed while the stipend of MBBS intern doctors has also been increased from Rs 7,500 to Rs 17,000. Considering the loss faced by those in the tourism sector due to the Covid pandemic, the state government has facilitated a budget of about Rs 200 crore which will benefit about 1,65,000 people,” said Dhami. The chief minister further pointed out that the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana had been launched to take care of the various requirements of children orphaned due to Covid-19. The government is providing Rs 3,000 per month cost of living expense apart from covering their educational expense. Further, about 50,000 people will benefit under the Mahalakshmi Yojana, he added.

The BJP State president Madan Kaushik said that the opposition will not succeed in its intentions by creating an atmosphere aimed at duping the youths. Only the BJP can ensure and is also facilitating the all round development of the state. The message of the BJP government has reached the last person in the state, he added.

Various meetings were held at the BJP state office on Thursday. The chief minister and members of the cabinet were present in the meeting of the five groups created to conduct various programmes of the party. Issues related to the election campaign were discussed in the meeting of the campaign committee. The party’s road map prepared earlier was also deliberated upon in the meeting. The party’s state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, co-in-charge Rekha Verma and other party office bearers were present in the meeting.
