Class XII student Lucky Rana wins Silver medal in international boxing competition
A class XII student, Lucky Rana, the daughter of a bus driver has done the state and nation proud by winning the silver medal while representing India at an international boxing competition in Europe.
After her return to her hometown, the young boxer was felicitated by leader of the opposition in the Assembly, Indira Hridayesh on Sunday. Lucky has so far won various national level competitions. Congratulating her for her achievements in the face of difficult circumstances, Hridayesh also assured necessary assistance to her in the future.
Lucky’s father Dev Bahadur Rana and local public representatives were also present on the occasion. Lucky was also felicitated by Jaipurkhima block Panchayat Garima Pande who visited the girl’s home in Dhanpur village. It is pertinent to mention here that Lucky won the silver medal for India in the international youth boxing competition held in Montenegro.
