In the presence of the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and Defence Minister as well as three former Vice Presidents- Jagdeep Dhankhar, Venkaiah Naidu and Hamid Ansari – CP Radhakrishnan took oath as the 15th Vice-President of India at a ceremony held in Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu administered him the oath. A number of Governors and chief ministers was also present on the occasion.
After the ceremony was over, the new VP went to Rajghat and paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.
