Following the cabinet expansion at the fag end of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s current term, the Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that this will lend speed to public welfare works. The BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt reiterated that the State has been witnessing all-round development under Dhami’s leadership. “Some positions in the cabinet were vacant for the past few years, which have now been filled following the approval of the central leadership. We hope that all will work under the chief minister’s guidance to achieve all-round development, good governance and public welfare,” the BJP State chief said.
As in the past, Bhatt said that the cabinet expansion is in accordance with “regional and social balance”, which will lend pace to development and public welfare works in the State. “After the cabinet rising to its full strength, we have to move forward at four-fold pace for development and public welfare.The government will be able to play a more effective role in resolving public issues due to the cabinet expansion. Since this is the last year before elections, the party will certainly benefit from this step,” the BJP State chief said.
