In latest news from Doon, the first cabinet meeting of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government in July was held in the Secretariat during which 22 proposals were placed for approval.
While a two-minute silence was observed in the memory of the deceased Kedarnath MLA Shaila Rani Rawat the cabinet approved the proposal of the health department for enforcing the same user charge in the government-run medical facilities. Besides, the cabinet decided unanimously that the two government medical colleges in Haridwar and Pithoragarh would recruit nurses directly, ending the outsourcing appointment. As per the cabinet decision, 240 nurses will be recruited each for the two medical colleges.
