Cabinet takes two decisions in its first meeting

In its first meeting a few hours after its formation, the State cabinet under chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat took two decisions on Friday evening. Informing about the decisions taken in the cabinet meet, the chief secretary Om Prakash said that the cabinet had decided that all the cases registered under Epidemic Diseases Act and the Disaster Management Act for violation of Covid guidelines during the Covid-19 lockdown will be withdrawn.

In another important decision, it was decided that in places where regional development authorities were formed in 2016, the situation will revert to as it was before the formation of these authorities.

The task of the authorities formed in 2016 to approve building maps will be suspended and the map approval will be done as before. Further, a cabinet sub-committee headed by Banshidhar Bhagat with Subodh Uniyal and Arvind Pandey as members has been formed to review this issue.
