The police have registered a case against former chief minister Harish Rawat, Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal and 28 other leaders for staging a protest in front of Lok Bhawan on Thursday.
The Congress leaders had staged the protest without taking prior permission from the administration.
The protest was held by the Congress leaders to express their anger over the union government’s decision to appoint former in-charge of Uttarakhand BJP, Dushyant Gautam as governor of Sikkim. The police have registered FIR against Congress leaders under sections 132 and 223 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
