Case registered against former finance manager of SMI hosp

Acting on the orders of the court, the police have registered a case of financial irregularities and embezzlement of funds against the former finance manager of Shri MahantIndiresh hospital. The senior Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the hospital, Bhupendra Raturi said that one Saurabh Sharma worked as the Finance Manager at Shri MahantIndiresh Hospital from the year 2012 to 2016. During this period, Saurabh Sharma in collusion with his maternal uncle Arvind Sharma misused his authority and committed a scam. He alleged that the duo produced fake medical bills and affected a scam amounting to Rs 1,45,49,416. This scam came to the fore in the audit after which the hospital management complained to the police. When no action was taken an appeal was filed in the court. The court acted on the application and ordered Station in-charge, Kotwali, police station Patelnagar to register an FIR.
The case has been registered under sections 420, 406, 467, 468, 471 and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In a stern message the hospital management has warned that strict legal action would be taken against officers or employees involved in corruption, financial irregularities and or embezzlement.
