State government employees, pensioners and their dependents are going to get cashless facility for diagnostic tests and medicines on the Golden Card under Ayushman Yojana. With this system being put into place, they will not have to pay cash for the check-ups and medicines. The State Health Authority and the Health Department are preparing the SOP (standard operating procedure) for the new facility in the Golden Card.
Notably, on January 1, 2021, the state government introduced cashless treatment facility for its employees and pensioners and their dependents as part of the State Government Health Scheme (CGHS) under Ayushman Yojana. In this, there is no limit on the expenditure for cashless treatment of employees and pensioners. Whatever the cost of treatment, it is paid for by the government. For the facility of cashless treatment, monthly contribution is taken from the employees and pensioners.
