The Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) is set to organise the Senior Challengers Multi-Day Women Trophy, from March 25 to April 8. CAU secretary Mahim Verma said that this series aims to showcase the talent of women players, who have previously competed primarily in ODI and T20 formats. The event will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium and Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun, allowing women players to play with red balls, similar to their male counterparts.
Verma added that the CAU has to host the under-14 Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy for the first time as it has received accreditation from the BCCI. Six States—Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Vidarbha—will compete for this trophy. Matches will be played at Doon Cricket Academy in Kuanwala and Ayush Cricket Academy in Chidderwala, starting from April 20, with the final scheduled between May 3 and 5. Trials for the Uttarakhand State team will be held on April 3, 4 and 5 for this trophy selection.
