Raids suspected to be associated with land scam cases of industrialist Sudhir Windlass

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday conducted raids at several establishments in Dehradun which are allegedly associated with industrialist and builder Sudhir Windlass. The CBI team raided dozens of establishments at various locations in Dehradun throughout the day but no official statement was issued till late Wednesday evening regarding the raid. It is pertinent to mention here that several cases are registered against Sudhir Windlass regarding alleged land scams in government and non-government lands. The Uttarakhand government on the instructions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recommended a CBI inquiry against Sudhir Windlass in October last year by sending a letter to the Central government in the land scam cases. The state government has recently transferred three cases against Windlass to the CBI associated with land scams. It is being said that CBI has registered four cases in the matter and the raids conducted over dozens of establishments on Wednesday were connected with the case but no official confirmation was issued till late evening.
