CBSE appoints UPES to facilitate exposure visit for school principals

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) hosted a two-day exposure visit at UPES for school principals from CBSE-affiliated schools. The CBSE sources said that the initiative had provided a platform for educational leaders to enhance their understanding of future skills and emerging trends in vocational and skill-based education. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises the integration of vocational education into mainstream schooling, this programme aimed to empower school principals with insights into innovative learning methodologies and industry trends, they added.

Speaking on the event, the vice-chancellor of UPES, Ram Sharma said thatthe future of education lay in seamlessly integrating academic learning with industry-driven skills.NEP 2020 highlights the importance of skill-based education from an early stage and with over 50% of India’s population under the age of 25, the need to equip students with practical, future-ready skills has never been more urgent,” he said.
