Reviewing works under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY), the Dehradun chief development officer Nitika Khandelwal directed the officials concerned to complete all the development projects in the selected Gram Panchayats within the specified time. Presently, the development projects in 17 Gram Panchayats are under process and the CDO instructed the departments to work on basic facilities like roads, proper garbage disposal, health centres, water and electricity connection, and employment opportunities in the selected Gram Panchayats.
Besides this, Khandelwal also directed departments to construct multipurpose halls in the villages with more population wherever possible. She also instructed Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) to finish the solar light works in selected areas soon. Further, the CDO also ordered the departments to adopt the Geographic Information System (GIS) for the development projects under PMAGY.
