CDRI scientist speaks of India’s progress in drug discovery at KU

A special lecture was organised in the department of Chemistry of DSB campus of Kumaun University in which a senior scientist of the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) Lucknow, Prof Dinesh Kumar Dixit presented his views as the keynote speaker on Dynamics of Landscape of New Drug Discovery in India. He threw light on the complex process of discovery and development of medicines, new research being done in India and the emerging possibilities in the field of science and medicine. He urged the students and researchers to think in a new direction. “All of you can become a part of this scientific progress happening in the field of medicines,” he said, addressing the students. The director of the institute, Madhu Dixit was also present on this occasion.
Deepshikha Joshi of the university’s department of Chemistry conducted the programme.
