The Union government has given its approval to the proposal of Uttarakhand government for widening of the Kalsi/ Herbertpur-Badkot bend section of National Highway- 507. This section of the highway will now be made a double lane road.
Expressing happiness at the development, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for the approval granted to broadening of this important road in the State. He said that unprecedented works in the field of road construction are being undertaken in Uttarakhand under the leadership of PM Modi. The CM further said the new roads are not only making the connectivity better but are also giving a new impetus to the development in the State.
Dhami said that the work on the expressway between New Delhi- Dehradun is going forward at a swift pace and soon the travel time between the two cities will be reduced to only two hours. The widening of the Herbertpur-Badkot bend section will be beneficial for the local people, he added.
