Century Pulp and Paper tops agroforestry & medicinal plants field in Kisan Mela

Century Pulp and Paper was awarded the first prize for its performance in the agroforestry, nursery and herbal and medicinal plant groups in the 119th Kisan Mela at GBPUAT.
The award was jointly received from chief guest Bhagat Singh Koshyari and university vice chancellor Manmohan Singh Chauhan by the mill’s vice president Naresh Chandra and the social forestry team members.
Appreciating the efforts being made by Century Pulp and Paper in the field of agroforestry and green revolution, Koshyari said that such initiatives are not only helpful in environmental protection but also play an important role in increasing the income of farmers and strengthening the rural economy.
Chandra stated that the mill’s social forestry and plantation programme is progressing rapidly under the guidance of the mill’s CEO Ajay Kumar Gupta. He averred that 22.5 million saplings have been planted so far in the year 2025–2026, while a target of 25 million saplings has been set for the year 2026–2027.
