Minister Dhan Singh Rawat directs officers to remove all problems in the scheme
Taking cognisance of the complaints by the employees and concern raised by their organisations the state government has decided to remove the practical problems in the golden card scheme. For this the health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the officers to bring in proposals for amendments in the scheme in the next cabinet meeting. These orders were given by the minister in a meeting with representatives of different employee organisations and senior officials of the state health department. In the meeting the employee organisations demanded that the benefits at par with the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) should be extended in the golden card scheme of the state government employees. They complained that the serving and retired employees are not able to get the benefit of the scheme for which a fixed amount of money is deducted from their salaries every month due to mistakes of the health department. The representatives of the association said that the golden card users should get the cashless benefit in the hospitals located outside the state.
The minister assured that all practical problems in the execution of the scheme would be removed and necessary relaxation would be provided to include those who are not included in the scheme yet.
In the meeting the minister also directed the director National Health Mission (NHM) to expedite the process of recruitment on the posts of medical officers, nurses, ANM, technicians, X-ray technicians and others. He also directed the director general (DG), health services to prepare proposals for recruitment on the vacant posts of the department.
The meeting was attended by president of secretariat employees’ organisation Deepak Joshi, general secretary of Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh (RSS) Sohan Singh Majila, NHM mission director Sonika, DG, health services, Dr Tripti Bahuguna and others.
