Char Dham committee head inspects Badrinath Dham, scrutinises facilities

Following the direction of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the additional chief secretary and the chairman of the high-level committee on Char Dham Yatra Anand Bardhan inspected Badrinath Dham on Wednesday to assess the efficacy of the arrangements made by the administration along the Yatra route to ensure hassle-free pilgrimage.
Bardhan is learnt to have reached Badrinath shrine as a common pilgrim and scrutinised the facilities put into place for pilgrims on the Chardham Yatra route, in general, and in Badrinath Dham, in particular, on Tuesday.
He provided necessary guidelines to officials concerned regarding parking, drinking water and medical facilities, traffic management, accommodation, communication, electricity, transport, registration, token darshan and sanitation arrangements among others in the Dham.
This aside, Bardhan also gathered feedback about the travel arrangements while interacting with the devotees in the Dham.
The ASC conducted a field inspection of the construction works involving River Front Development, Aastha Path, Sheshnetra Lake, Tirtha Purohit Awas, ISBT and hospital extension among others which are being carried out under the master plan for Badrinath Dham. He directed the executing agencies to complete the works under the master plan within the given time limit.
The Badrinath- Kedarnath temple committee media in-charge, Harish Guar informed that while inspecting, Bardhan also inquired about the worship process being followed in Badrinath Dham.
