Char Dham shrines visited by more than 4.6 lakh so far

More than 4.60 lakh pilgrims have visited the Char Dham shrines so far during this pilgrimage season. Releasing the figures related to the pilgrimage, the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board media in-charge Harish Gaur informed that a total of 1,50,828 people had visited the Badrinath shrine so far. The pilgrimage to Badrinath is continuing as the shrine will be closed for the winters on November 20.
Kedarnath was visited by 3,012 pilgrims on Saturday whereas a total of 2,42,712 pilgrims visited the shrine during the entire Yatra period. Gangotri, which was closed to the public on Friday, was visited by a total of 33,166 pilgrims during the Yatra period. Similarly, a total of 33,306 pilgrims visited the Yamunotri shrine during the pilgrimage period. During the entire Yatra period- from September 18 till date, a total of 4,60,012 pilgrims visited the Char Dham shrines. It is pertinent to mention here that the Covid-19 pandemic had affected the Char Dham Yatra period this year.
