In latest news from Doon, the Char Dham Yatra is all set to start this year on April 30, informed the media in-charge of the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee Harish Gaud. He further said that in sync with the long-continuing traditions, the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri would reopen on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, adding that the portal reopening dates of Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines would be decided on the occasions of Basant Panchami and Mahashivratri respectively. Similarly, the dates of the reopening of the portals of Madmaheshwar-reverently called the Second Kedar- and Tungnath- known as the Third Kedar- will be finalised on the day of Vaisakhi, Gaud informed.
