Taking note of malpractice charges, the director, Panchayati Raj Nidhi Yadav attached the district panchayat raj officer (DPRO) Dehradun Vidya Singh Somnal to the headquarters. She was also asked to reply to a show-cause notice sent to her within a week. According to those in the know, Somnal may be suspended. The assistant DPRO Sanjay Prakash Badoni has been given the charge of DPRO and he will act as officiating DPRO till further order.
