Chauhan attacks Rawat for terming Cong defectors as sinners

Thursday, 25 APRIL 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

Taking strong exception to the sarcastic remark made by former chief minister Harish Rawat on the leaders who have left the Congress party, the media in charge of State BJP Manvir Singh Chauhan said that the former CM should clarify as to how many tainted leaders are there in Congress. Rawat had recently termed the leaders who had left Congress as sinners. Chauhan said that every leader who is leaving Congress is a sinner for Harish Rawat. He claimed that BJP gives respect to everyone due to which leaders from other parties join it. Taking a dig at Rawat, Chauhan said that he considers such leaders who had served the Congress for years as sinners which shows that he is suffering from a problem in his vision.

He said policies and corruption of Harish Rawat forced a major rebellion in Congress in 2016. There are many leaders in Congress who have held the high ambitions of Harish Rawat responsible for leaving the Congress party. Chauhan claimed that a champion of dynastic politics, Rawat is running the Congress party in the State with a remote control which generates a lot of discontentment in the party rank and file.
