The nine-day ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Katha’ organised at the Patanjali University in Haridwar concluded on Wednesday, marking Ramnavami festival and the 30th retirement day of the Yoga Guru  Ramdev.

On the concluding day, the prominent speakers, including Govind Dev, Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, exhorted all present to imbibe the values Lord Ram’s life displayed and transform themselves to usher in true Ram Rajya in India.  Besides, they dwelt on the indomitable courage and spirit of sacrifice Shivaji personified.

Govind Dev said that Shivaji was the personification of all the sterling qualities found in   Ramayana and Mahabharata. “He symbolised the self-respect of the nation when it was struggling to break free of alien rule.   A guardian of Sanatan Dharma, he was for making all pilgrimages within the national boundaries free,” he said.

Ramdev said that the programme on Shivaji hosted by Patanjali was aimed at arousing the patriotic passion that kept burning in the legendary warrior in every Indian heart. “We must pledge on this occasion to give all we have for the cause of protecting Mother Cow and the unity and integrity of Mother India,” he said and added that adherence to the Sanatan values would help usher in true Ram Rajya in India.

Acharya Balkrishna said that Patanjali has been fostering the Rishi tradition silently with utmost care. “It must be kept alive and carried forward and we are untiringly and zealously taking things forward thanks to the penance our guardian Ramdev has been undergoing for years,” he added.
