In latest Dehradun news, the State chief secretary S S Sandhu has been given a six-month extension of service by the Centre. He is to retire on July 31. He is believed to be enjoying the confidence of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It is learnt that the PMO was in favour of giving him service extension after his retirement as he is supposed to be in the good book of the Prime Minister.
