Children practice Yogasanas at KV to mark International Yoga Day

Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya II in Roorkee practised Yogasanas under the guidance of instructor Nikki Baliyan at the school on Friday. The children performed various aspects of Yoga on the occasion. Retired vice principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Haridwar Naresh Kumar Bansal and retired NIH scientist Digambar Singh were invited as special guests in the school. They also performed Yoga with the children and spoke to them about the importance of Yoga and exhorted them to adopt it in life.

 The school principal Arvind Kumar said that Yoga is the most important method for strengthening concentration. It helps one maintain the balance of the physical and spiritual body and also inspires one to live a healthy  life.
