In latest news from Dehradun, people were evacuated to safe places after chlorine gas leaked in the Jhanjra area of Premnagar in Dehardun. On being informed of the gas leak, police and personnel of emergency services like NDRF and SDRF rushed to the site and launched the evacuation operation. The senior superintendent of police Dehradun Ajai Singh reached the place and monitored the rescue operation. He said that a probe is going on to ascertain why the chlorine gas cylinder had been kept at the place where it leaked. Notably, the gas cylinder kept in a plant in Jhanjra area leaked and the scared people informed police.
