The helicopter transporting chief secretary Radha Raturi from Nainital to Dehradun was forced to make an emergency landing in Ramnagar on Saturday afternoon. Raturi and principal secretary RK Sudhanshu were returning from a programme in Nainital when the weather deteriorated as their helicopter approached Ramnagar. The pilot made an emergency landing on the ground of the government college in Ramnagar at about 1:30 PM. The officials of the local administration had reached the site on receiving information before the emergency landing. Sub divisional magistrate Rahul Shah said that the chief secretary halted at the government college for about half an hour. The helicopter lifted off for Dehradun with the officials after the weather cleared.
