The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Uttarakhand organised a two-day Manufacturing Excellence Learning Mission to World Class Companies in Kumaon region. A CII industry delegation visited two companies that have excelled in the auto sector- Tata Motors Limited and Ashok Leyland Limited. The key objective of the mission was to share and learn the best practices in manufacturing operations of the visited companies that make them leaders in their respective areas of work and to enhance competitiveness, a senior CII office bearer said.
The DGM, Tata Motors, Pantnagar, Gaurav Harish interacted with the delegation and also briefed about the Pantnagar facility. Senior officials of Ashok Leyland Limited, Pantnagar plant shared the vision of their company and appraised delegates about the various area specific programmes undertaken in plant manufacturing processes.
