The two-day CISCE regional swimming competition began at the All Saints’ College here on Tuesday. About 250 students from various schools of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are participating in this competition.
The participants are divided into six teams on the basis of their regions. On the first day, the students competed in 50 metres, 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 4×100 metres races in different styles in the under-14, under-17 and under-19 categories.
Earlier, All Saints’ College principal Kiran Jeremiah along with Uttarakhand Swimming Association honourary secretary and Swimming Federation of India joint secretary Seema Mehrotra and Saint Joseph College, Nainital principal brother Hector Pinto and other invited guests formally inaugurated the competition.
