CJI Khanna spots elephants, tiger & other wildlife in Corbett

The Chief Justice of India, Sanjiv Khanna spotted elephants, a tiger and other wildlife during his weekend stay in the Corbett Tiger Reserve. He also appreciated the biodiversity in Corbett and paid homage at the memorial to those who had laid down their lives for wildlife security before departing for Delhi on Sunday.
The Supreme Court Chief Justice had earlier arrived at Corbett along with his family on Friday night. On Saturday, he undertook a jungle safari in the Dhikala zone. He spotted a herd of elephants during the evening and spent the night at the Khinnanauli rest house. During the safari on Sunday morning the CJI spotted a tiger at Dhikala Chaud. Apart from the elephants and tiger, Khanna also spotted Chital, Sambar and other wildlife. Corbett director Saket Badola informed that the CJI also paid tributes to the foresters who had died on duty while protecting wildlife and forests. He was gifted a coffee table book on Corbett.
