In latest news from Dehradun, as per an order issued by the State government, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami alone would lay foundation stone of and inaugurate all government projects. This order, issued in the name of the secretary, CM, R Meenakshi Sundaram, implies that no minister, MP and MLA would lay foundation stone of and unveil government projects from now on. However, they would be asked to be present on such occasions if the event takes place in the regions they represent. It is learnt from the State government sources that with the general election approaching, the CM himself would tour all the districts of the State and lay foundation stone of and unveil development projects.
