In latest news from Doon, while addressing the concluding day ceremony of the two-day Jaunsar Bawar cultural festival at Ambedkar stadium in Kaulagarh, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that Rs 2.5 crore would be sanctioned for building Jaunsar Bawar Bhavan where students from economically unprivileged families would study. Underscoring the need to conserve the unique culture of this region which harks back to the time of the puranas, he said that such festivals should be organised every year. Such festivals not just save cultures from disintegration but also reconnect the young generation to their roots. Besides, these festivals provide the folk artistes a platform to showcase their skills, the CM said.
