CM assigns Covid duty in districts to ministers

Considering the Covid surge in Uttarakhand, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat has allocated responsibilities to all ministers for prevention and management of Covid in the districts. Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaaz has been given the responsibility of Haridwar district, cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat has been made responsible for Pauri and Rudraprayag while cabinet minister Banshidhar Bhagat has been made responsible for Nainital.
Similarly cabinet minister Yashpal Arya has been made responsible for Udham Singh Nagar, cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal has been made responsible for Tehri and cabinet minister Bishan Singh Chufal has been made responsible for Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. Further, cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi has been made responsible for Dehradun district, cabinet minister Arvind Pandey has been made responsible for Champawat, State minister Dhan Singh Rawat has been made responsible for Chamoli, state minister Rekha Arya has been made responsible for Almora and state minister Yatishwaranand has been made responsible for Uttarkashi.
The CM has asked all the ministers to immediately take over the responsibility of their respective districts and establish coordination between the district magistrate concerned and the state government. All necessary measures for prevention and treatment of Covid should be taken by the ministers, said the CM.
