CM bats for speeding up of Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission work

In Uttarakhand news, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stressed on speeding up works on the embellishment of the 16 temples as part of the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission while holding a meeting with the officers concerned at his official residence in Dehradun. Notably, these 16 temples have been identified for the first phase of the execution of this mission. He stressed on arranging accommodation facilities, including homestays, for the pilgrims along with carrying on with road development works. He said that the development works involving this mission should be implemented in a well-planned and time-bound manner.
Asking the officers to work with long-term vision, the CM said that they should work while keeping in mind the estimated number of devotees that may come in 20 to 25 years from now. He directed the PWD officers to ensure that the roads of the Manaskhand corridor are widened and concretised.
These 16 temples include Jageshwar Mahadev temple in Almora, Chitai Golu Devta temple, sun temple in Katarmal, Kasar Devi temple, Nanda Devi temple, Patal Bhuvaneshwar temple in Pithoragarh, Haat Kalika temple, Bagnath temple and Baijnath temple in Bageshwar among others.
Among the officers present at the meeting were the chief secretary S S Sandhu, additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, director general Information Banshidhar Tiwari and senior PWD officers.
