A prominent hotelier of Pithoragarh, Bhuwan Gunjyal died in a road accident on Friday night. Gunjyal had left Pithoragarh city late at night for his hotel in Chandak but did not reach there. On Saturday, people going on morning walk saw a car in a ditch near the waterfall about 50 metres from the Vardani temple.
People informed the police station about the car wreck. The police reached the spot and sent Gunjyal’s body for post mortem examination. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Gunjyal. The CM also phoned the bereaved family members and expressed his condolences.
