In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the Char Dham Yatra hogging national headlines for the pilgrim rush and subsequent governmental mismanagement, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Badrinath and conducted a field inspection of the facilities and arrangements made for the pilgrimage to four shrines. He interacted with the pilgrims who came from across the country and took feedback of the arrangements made for them.
He inquired about the facilities like token counter, queue management, control room and medical and health facilities. He made it clear that the number of pilgrims visiting the Char Dham would be determined strictly according to the carrying capacity of the shrine towns.
