The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the governor Lieutenant General ( Retd), Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhawan on Tuesday. The CM apprised the governor about the situation of land subsidence in the Joshimath city. He also gave a detailed account of the relief and rehabilitation measures being taken by the State government in Joshimath. Dhami said that the government has made immediate and long term plans for the rehabilitation of the affected families in Joshimath. The governor said that the safety of the people residing in the area affected by land subsidence is most important. He said that good arrangements should be made in the temporary shelters so that they do not face problems due to winters and when the weather deteriorates . Singh expressed satisfaction on the measures taken by the State government and appreciated those involved in the operations. Earlier on the day the governor met the chief secretary (CS) S S Sandhu to take stock of the situation in Joshimath.
