The officiating chief minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated Phool Dei festival with the children at his residence on Monday. He congratulated the people of the state for the Phool Dei, the festival which expresses human gratitude towards the nature and wished for peace and prosperity of the people of the state. He said that Phool Dei festival is associated with the culture and traditions of Uttarakhand. He said that the traditional festivals play an important role in recognising the culture and customs of any state. Dhami said that we should work towards promoting and strengthening the traditional festivals and culture of the state.
He distributed gifts to the children who had come to meet him on the occasion. The programme was organised by Sashibhushan Maithani and Parvatiya Sanskriti Sanrakshan Samiti.
